A collaboration between the Kaua'i Coffee Company and Kōloa Rum Company, the coffee rum is made from pure Hawaiian cane sugar double distilled in the vintage 1,210-gallon copper pot still and cut with filtered water from ancient Mount Wai'ale'ale, then blended with locally grown Arabica and Robusta beans from the Kaua'i Coffee Company — the largest coffee grower in the United States. A robust and lightly-sweetened but otherwise quite pure expression of coffee in classically alcoholic form, with a surprise of slightly peppery notes on the finish alongside nutty and dark chocolate overtones.
