Madrecuishe (Agave karwinskii) is a long-stemmed wild agave varietal with thick fibers — prized for the mineral, elegant, and slightly earthier mezcal it produces compared to the cultivated Espadin.
Karwinskii varietals take 12–20 years to mature and are wild-harvested rather than cultivated.
