Leese Fitch Firehouse Red Blend

Winemaker Notes:

The 2016 Firehouse Red is a blend of multiple varietals that showcase the strength of their vintage. The absence of rainfall in the 2016 growing season produced high yields of quality, high-color density fruit. Lodi Petite Sirah leads the charge with inky black color, oozing with blackberry and black cherry fruit while a touch of Clarksburg Petite Sirah adds some backbone. The Lodi Zinfandel successfully combines flavors of dark and brambly fruit with gamey complexity. The bold structure is balanced with a bit of acidity which is a result of the Merlot sourced from Paso Robles, Lodi and Clarksburg. Mourvedre adds a sweet leather note while a pinch of Lodi Syrah and Tempranillo add spice and round out this scrumptious blend.
