Each limited annual release of The Macallan Classic Cut is the work of a different Whiskey Maker. The second edition in the series, The Macallan Classic Cut 218 Edition was created by Ian Morrison of the Whiskey mastery team using a small selection of Sherry-seasoned oak casks, specially chosen for their distinctive character. Classic Cut 218 Edition was bottled at a higher of 51.2% to showcase the true flavor complexity of the Whiskey and deliver a richer, fuller taste experience teeming with notes of orange, vanilla and gingerbread. For the 219 edition, Polly Logan of the Whiskey mastery team created a truly indulgent single malt using only sherry seasoned oak casks handpicked for their extraordinary character and bottled at a strength of 52.9% ABV for maximum flavor.
