Today, we came together to toast 50th anniversary of Silver Oak - a place we love and for which we have great respect. The connection between wine and tequila is not a usual one, but when two amazing liquids can influence each other, the result in incredible. This edition celebrates the flavor profile of one of the best wines we know, enhancing the smooth agave notes of our most exquisite tequila. Dobel 50 Silver Oak edition is an extra aged tequila matured in American oak. It is then finished in Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels, resulting in an exceptional and highly limited release. We are incredibly proud to collaborate with a winery that embodies a deep reverence for the land and the craft that produce its award-winning liquids.

Tasting Notes:

The appearance is clean and translucent, with an intensely bright amber color accented by gold and bright orange sparkles, as well as the slightest hint of green along the glass that evidences the tequilas long evolution in wood.

The intensity and complexity of the aromas reflect notes of cooked agave and ripe fruits. The caramel and vanilla notes that result from the carefully selected aging barrels are complemented by the subtle notes of red fruits characteristic of Silver oak wine, all leading into an elegant buttery finish.

In the mouth, an abundance of flavor overwhelms the palate. The influence of the wood upon the tequila is palpable, which enhances the elegance and smoothness of the flavor profile. Notes of citrus fruits such as mandarin brighten and freshen the liquid, and notes of dried fruit such as figs and dates give roundness to the tequila, which never loses the essence of its agave original thought its time in the barrel.
