OVERVIEW:
It can sometimes be difficult to impress a group of grizzled vets Kenny and Ryan from Bourbon Pursuit who we estimate have been on roughly 200 barrel picks prior to this one, but somehow Trevor Bowles from Maker's was able to do it. Private lunch, thieving bourbon from the barrels in the warehouse, tour of the grounds. They pull out all the stops. Let's just say the barrel completely blew away the team's expectations. We are certain you'll love "Blender's Paradise". Enjoy!

Stave Profile: 3 - Baked American Pure, 2 - Seared Frech Cuvee, 1 Maker's Mark 46, 4 Roasted French Meadiant, 0 - Toasted French Spice. 109.3 Proof 54.65% ABV.
TASTING NOTES: By Brian Beyke
- Nose: Fans of the 2021 Maker’s LE will be welcomed here. Dried fruit, purple fruit, butterscotch, and honey-covered apple are ample. Lots of French oak influence to boot.
- Palate: The palate blasts with flavor immediately. Big burst of baking spice initially then gobs of red and purple fruit. Cranberries, cherries, strawberries, raisins, plums, and unrefined grapes with chewy leather growing on the palate.
- Finish: The finish lingers long and saturated, almost like the previous Savage & Cooke Grenache finish. Heavy, coating, and sweetened with spiced French vanilla notes, that transition into a cinnamon roll the longer it sits on the palate. This is a wonderful example of Makers stave blending.
