Mars Tsunuki 2022 Edition Single Malt Japanese Whisky

Opened in 2016, Tsunuki the second distillery of the Hombo Shuzo group, continues its development by unveiling the 2022 edition of its single malt already awarded a silver medal at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits competition.

Created by Blender Tatsuro Kusano, its rich and smooth profile highlights fresh fruity notes with beautiful ripe and sweet fruit aromas on the nose and notes of baked candy. On the palate, a slight acidity appears with passion fruit aromas accompanied by dark chocolate notes. The blend of mostly bourbon cask aged single malts expresses the influence of the cask on the whisky with lingering woody notes on the finish.

A 100% Japanese whisky, Tsunuki Single Malt Edition 2022 was distilled, aged, blended and bottled at the distillery located in the heart of the historical cradle of the Hombo family in Kagoshima on the island of Kyushu. Located in the green mountains southwest of the Satsuma Peninsula, the distillery benefits from a specific local climate and access to high quality spring water from the Kuraokuyama mountain range.
