In 1912, Cordon Bleu was a revolution in the world of cognac, breaking conventions of the day in name, taste and design. In 2022, to mark the 110th anniversary of its icon, Maison Martell is reinterpreting this in the same spirit of daring. This exceptional Limited Edition is made of real crystal decanters, each presented in an exquisitely elevating crafted gift box. Above all, the original blend, whose legendary taste has remained unchanged for more than a century, has for the first time been revisited by Martell Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud.

Created by Edouard Martell, the great-grandson of Jean Martell, Martell Cordon Bleu has a distinctive taste and a bottle which bears a name referencing the blue ribbon of excellence. Its blend of more than 100 eaux-de-vie, influenced by the Borderies terroir, is universally admired for its richness, elegance and finesse. Christophe Valtaud has audaciously reworked this historic blend, incorporating a proportion of very old Borderies eaux-de- vie, which have attained more than 30 years of age, making it highly unique.

Tasting Notes:
Deep amber in colour with brilliant mahogany highlights, it reveals
aromas of dried tobacco, peppermint and candied fruit, evolving towards
honey, leather and sandalwood. On the palate, these notes are
complemented by nuts, dried fruit and wood, creating a wonderfully
smooth and mellow harmony, which clearly pays tribute to the original
Martell Cordon Bleu, while offering a sensory experience of
unprecedented intensity and aromatic richness.
