Feeding Directions

Keep Mazuri® Timothy-Based Guinea Pig Diet to animals free-choice. Ensure that food is replaced frequently and provided in appropriate feeders. If supplementation is desired, it is recommended to offer supplements at 25% or less of the diet (as is basis). When supplementing, a good quality grass hay and blend of leafy greens are ideal for adult guinea pigs. Younger animals which are still growing may benefit from the higher protein that alfalfa hay offers. Fruits should always be kept to a minimum to avoid excess dietary sugars. Your pet should always have access to clean, fresh water.

Storage Instructions

For best results, reseal the bag between uses or store contents of open paper sack in container with sealing lid. Store in a cool (75⁰F/24⁰C or colder), dry (approximately 50% RH) location free from rodents and insects. Do not offer moldy or insect-infested feed to animals as it may result in illness, performance loss or death. Freezing will not harm the diet and may extend freshness. Use within "Best if Used By" date.
