Method and Madness Single Malt Irish Whiskey

Method and Madness Single Malt is the first Irish single malt from the Midleton Distillery in a very long time — enhanced with French Limousin oak (the wood traditionally used to age Cognac), which adds floral aromatics, while bourbon casks provide a toasted, nutty character for a fruity, honeyed whiskey.

Method and Madness is an experimental range of Irish whiskeys from the masters at Midleton and their apprentices. Each expression carries a unique twist: a sweet, toasty single grain finished in virgin Spanish oak; a spicy single pot still finished in French chestnut; and this fruity, honeyed single malt enhanced with French Limousin oak. The Limousin oak finish is the defining feature here, layering floral aromatics over the bourbon-cask base.
