Nicho Real Extra Añejo is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged five years in French oak barrels — well beyond the three-year minimum for the extra añejo category — produced and bottled in Mexico.

At five years in French oak, Nicho Real develops the deep color and integrated oak character of an ultra-aged tequila. French oak is tighter-grained and more tannic than American oak, contributing a subtler, more wine-influenced profile of dried fruit and spice over the cooked agave base.
