Oban Little Bay Single Malt Scotch

Here's a fun fact: Did you know Oban means Little Bay in Gaelic? Well, now you do. So "Oban Little Bay" as a name is essentially a repetition of the same thing. But that's the only thing we can find wrong with this whisky. Oban Little Bay is made by taking the finished Oban whisky, matured in refill American oak hogsheads, European oak Sherry casks and refill casks, and letting it mingle and rest a while in small oak casks to give it additional complexity. This additional treatment results in a whiskey that is more balanced and a little sweeter than the Oban 14, which we also love.

Tasting notes: Oban Little Bay is rich and fruity on the nose, with notes of chocolate, orange and blackberry on the palate, finishing off beautifully with a long, slightly dry, and spicy finish. Gentle, fruity melody, a little too easy to drink!
