From a single block with particularly gravelly soils on their Carneros estate, Poseidons Pinot Noir is aged in 40% new Hungarian oak for 8 months. That oak gives the wine a touch of spice cloves, nutmeg, black pepper along with a meaty texture and bright, ripe berries, maraschino cherries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries, all lifted by high acidity. A very attractive wine at a great price point.
