Tersa Planer Knives are high quality products manufactured in Switzerland for professional woodworkers. Precision Tersa Planer Blades are suitable for Tersa systems in planers, thicknessers, automatic molders, etc. Our original Tersa Planer Knives have the Tersa name edged on the blades and are packaged in a distinctive green cardboard sleeve. The old style of Planer Knives are becoming a thing of the past. They take too long to change and the cost of a grinding machine to sharpen the Knives can be very expensive. The Tersa Planer Knives are two sided and are used on each side before they are recycled. They are ultra-light and don't need sharpening. You simply use one side of the blades until they dull, flip the blades around, use the other side until dull, and recycle the blades after. No more wasting valuable time on sharpening. With the old corrugated blades it can take anywhere from 30 minutes per head to change a 4-sided Planer machine, not to mention the sharpening time which can be tedious to do yourself and expensive and time consuming to hire out. With Tersa ultra-light systems it takes just 5 minutes per head! Because of their unique design Tersa Knives can be removed and replaced in seconds. Used with the Tersa Planer Head, knives are clamped by centrifugal force and gibb wedges, leaving no screws to deal with. A consistent knife height also eliminates the need for any height adjustment on your blades.
