Annona muricata, commonly known as Soursop, is a fruit-bearing tree native to tropical and sub-tropical climates. This evergreen plant blooms and can bear fruit nearly all year. In the United States, it can be found in Florida. The delicious fruit, commonly referred to as custard apple, is safe to eat, nutritious, and high in fiber. However, the seeds of soursop fruit are toxic and should not be consumed.
