Cleaning Instructions: 

Routine Cleaning (after each use)

Wipe down the holder with a damp cloth to remove dust, drips, and debris. For coffee residue, a soft microfiber cloth slightly dampened with warm water is your best tool. Dry it immediately and thoroughly after wiping. 

What to avoid

Keep alcohol-based products and similar substances away from the wood, as these can draw moisture out and cause the wood to dry and crack. Wipe up any spills quickly. Never submerge the holder in water or run it through a dishwasher. Avoid detergent-based soaps that contain silicone or ammonia, as these can break down the outer layer of the wood and reduce its natural luster.

Conditioning (every 3-6 months)

Apply a wood oil such as tung or teak oil sparingly with a clean cloth, rubbing in the direction of the grain, and wipe away any excess to avoid a greasy finish.  This is especially important given the holder's regular exposure to moisture from brewing.

Storage and placement

Keep the holder away from extreme heat sources, and choose a position away from windows where direct sunlight could regularly hit it. After each brew session, allow it to air dry fully before setting it away.
