CENTIEME created this lamp almost 9 years ago now, with the desire to "play" with rattan, such a wonderfully flexible material. Steaming or soaking it to bend it, shaping it into generous, rounded forms in some places, pointed and curled in others. From there, the urge to create an object — something light, so airy that you forget its considerable volume. Adding brass to bind it all together.

The lamp gradually took shape in the drawings — the choice of 8 petals to form a corolla, at whose centre only a bulb was missing, a study in the colours of her childhood: the façades of Italian houses, the faded red rocks, the parched earth, the almost-silvered aromatic herbs.
