Soft and flexible for easy stitching, the skin is durable enough to prevent stitches from coming loose when tightened. The unit comes with three 'wounds' that can be sutured repeatedly until the surrounding skin wears out, allowing new 'wounds' to be cut. Despite being disposable, the leg offers hundreds of suturing experiences before wearing out. Conservatively, over a hundred cuts can be made on the trainer, each suturable multiple times. It comes complete with an initial suture pack and an instruction manual. It carries a five-year warranty.
