Since the early days on Congress Street, we've been inspired, supported, and joyously caffeinated by our close friends at Barrington Coffee. Founded in the early '90s by the passionately driven duo Gregg Charboneau & Barth Anderson, the Barrington team has established an award-winning roastery based in the magnificent Berkshires of Western, MA.
As a testament to the precision & dedication of coffee farmers across the globe who cultivate expressive beans reflective of local climate, terroir, and practice, we continue our exploratory PM Dawn: Single Origin Series. In the second edition, our signature American coffee stout features "Supernatural," produced by Ato Mijane Worassa and his son Daniel on the slopes of Mount Rudu in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia.
“Supernatural” is dried in the cherry on raised beds over a period of ten to fifteen days. The heady yet focused effect of the natural process on this landrace heirloom variety inspired Barrington to name this coffee for its supernatural impact in the cup. PM Dawn: Single Origin provides the royalty base canvas to highlight this coffee's expressive flavors of blackberry & blueberry supported by herbal tones of lavender, bergamot, rooibos, black tea, and milk chocolate.
Aromas of freshly baked chocolate confections greet the nose as deep flavors of roasted espresso, mocha vanilla bean, and delicate fruit follow onto the palate. With medium body and light bitterness, PM Dawn: Single Origin "Supernatural" is balanced and full, smooth with a drying roast character.
