This is so perfumed and beautiful with cherries, citrus, berries and hints of cedar. Some vanilla, too, in just the right way. It’s full-bodied and chewy with super fine tannins and a long, intense finish. Linear and serious. Solid. Try after 2024.

Winemaker Notes

We made this Brunello di Montalcino from our vineyards located in the southwest of Montalcino at an altitude of 300350 meters above sea level facing the sea and the Maremma. This is Montalcino’s hottest area. Here the soil consists of sandstone and rocky marl, which allows the production of well-structured, mineral wines.

An exceptional wine, very elegant, complex and rich in minerals. Produced from hand-harvested grapes and fermented naturally for two weeks after soft pressing and destemming. The wine is aged in 54hl Allier French oak barrels for 48 months. Refined in bottle for one year minimum. Clean and intense bouquet with very ripe fruit and herbal nuances. Well balanced, fresh and intense in the mouth. Lasting and mature tannins. Black fruit and spice accompany soft vanilla flavours. Intense finish.

Excellent with mature cheeses, grilled meats and game.
