Cotswold Sweet is consistently one of our most sought-after hays, and for good reason. Its exceptional palatability makes it a particularly valuable donation for sanctuaries working with animals that are reluctant to eat or need to build condition after a difficult start.

Thanks to the incredible success of our Christmas Rescue Box Appeal in 2023, we were able to support so many rescues in need. Sadly, many of our favourite rescues are still struggling with rising costs, so we've relaunched our Rescue Box Appeal to help provide hay, forage, and essentials to the animals who need it most.

We've selected a few partner rescues to support, and these will rotate throughout the year, ensuring more rescues benefit from your generosity.

Grown and barn dried in the UK, Cotswold Sweet is a naturally green, sweet-scented rye grass hay that is high in both fibre and protein. Its medium strand and softer texture compared to Timothy make it well suited to a wider range of animals, and its appealing scent and taste mean even hesitant eaters are often drawn to it readily. For sanctuaries managing animals that need to gain weight or rebuild their appetite, Cotswold Sweet can be a genuine game-changer. Please note this variety was previously known as Rye Grass Hay, so if the rescue has received hay from us before, they will know and love it under that name.

We always recommend feeding a variety of hays for a balanced diet. Cotswold Sweet pairs beautifully with our Pure Timothy for added nutritional variety.
