Reserve de la Comtesse Pauillac 2016

This is a gorgeous bottling of the Reserve de la Comtesse from the Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande estate in Paullac. It is composed of a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 5% Petite Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. The nose opens with an aroma set of cassis, plum, smoky minerality, and a light floral note. On the palate there is a presence here that tells me this is bound to mature for years to come, but still gives quite a bit of joy for those that enjoy a full and present mix of black fruits, minerality, cedar and light floral notes.
