Inside the bottle of this Rest & Be Thankful Assemblage #1 Pure Blended Jamaican Rum is a blend of 17 barrels from different distilleries:
Clarendon Distillery - distilled in 2007 on column and pot stills.
New Yarmouth distillery - distilled in 2005 on pot stills.
Long Pond Distillery - distilled in 2005 on pot stills.
2008 Pot Still Rum from a distillery that must not be named (Worthy Park??). Total worldwide out turn: 5188 bottles.
Nose: Exotic fruits, mangoes, passion fruit and fermented pineapple, with some citrus and zest (especially limes) in the background.
Palate: Fermented fruits carry through form the nose - pineapple and mango, as well as some harder to pinpoint fruits - guava and papaya? A hint of petrol, liquorice, vanilla, sea salt and oak spices.
Finish: Long with Bananas Foster, pineapple chunks and oakiness.
