Winemaker Notes
For me, it’s not okay to simply create a wine that is interesting, I want to create a wine that surpasses each previous vintage, that can compete on a global scale. The Classic, 2021 does just that. Wet gravel, Bay leaf, fresh cut cedar, cassis, kirsch, rosemary, worn leather and fresh mint. It’s regal, it’s elegant, it is the closest I know to perfection for the kind of Bordeaux-styled wine I am trying to create. The wine is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and equal parts Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
