Rothman & Winter Orchard Cherry Liqueur is an Austrian cherry liqueur from Destillerie Purkhart — the seasonal harvest of sour Weichsel cherries from in and around Austria combined with an eau-de-vie produced from the same fruit. No spices or vanilla are added: the result is a clear, bright cherry flavor with a clean sweet-tart balance.

The Weichsel is the sour-cherry variety central to Austrian and Central European cherry liqueur and fruit-brandy production. Rothman & Winter’s eau-de-vie + juice approach produces the dense Weichsel character that makes this liqueur a fixture in sparkling wine, wheat beer, dark beer, espresso, and dessert applications, as well as classic cocktails. Higher proof and lower sugar than mass-market alternatives preserves authentic cherry intensity.
