Royal Brackla 21 Year Old

Standing upon fertile farmland on the Cawdor Estate in the Scottish Highlands lies Royal Brackla Distillery, founded by Captain William Fraser in 1812. But like so many other 19th-century distilleries, it became closely associated with blending. Andrew Usher, who is recognized as having made the first commercialized blend, was agent for Royal Brackla and became a director in 1887. Royal Brackla is now part of the Dewar's family.

Nose: Fresh green citrus, blackcurrant berries, a maltiness and the classic sherried notes that are an evolution of the 16 Years Old.

Palate: Syrupy toffee notes, with richly fragrant summer berries warmed by the sun and dusted in cinnamon and Muscovado sugar.

Finish: Medium long with prevalent milk chocolate and apples.
