Savage Cherry Liqueur, Vicario

• Cherry liqueur produced by Vicario Spirits in Greer, South Carolina • Produced using a rare, antique variety of wild sour cherry known as Visciole di Cantiano • Visciole di Cantiano is grown from Vicario's 300-tree orchard in Villa Sant'Andrea, in Cortona, Italy • The fruit and leaves are macerated in neutral spirit and finished on the Vicario property in Greer, South Carolina • Produced using 100% non-GMO neutral wheat spirit • Bursting with tart, dark cherry from nose to finish with faint notes of fennel and clove • 30% ABV  On the verge of disappearing, the Visciole di Cantiano variety never developed much of a commercial presence as they are fragile, need to be hand-picked, are consumed by flocks of birds the moment they become ripe, and spoil quickly to boot. Nonetheless, Vicario believe it is the best cherry for liqueur making, and thanks to their dedication, the world has been gifted this fine cherry liqueur!
