This in old bourbon and sherry casks matured 21-year old Auchentoshan Lowland single malt scotch whisky was bottled in the late 1990s / early 2000s in an limited edition, the bottle and the box still show the old cream label and and this bottle has the black capsule, which is only used for a short time. As in the old days, the Lowland single malt is still produced in the traditional way. Auchentoshan is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that practices triple distillation as was common in the past. This makes the whisky very light and soft. Furthermore, the malt used is only slightly peated.
