Seven Seals Port Wood Finish Single Malt

The Swiss Seven Seals distillery has developed a unique process for producing whisky.

True to the motto 'Time doesn’t matter, taste matters', the maturation time was reduced without further ado in order to avert the ongoing cask shortage — how exactly this happens is a closely guarded secret.

This Port Wood Finish Single Malt cleverly combines different malts from the same Irish distillery prior to shipping and re-casking the spirit in Switzerland. The result is an outstandingly complex and multi-layered character.

Nose: Dried fruit, gingerbread, roasted almonds - but milk chocolate is front and centre.

Palate: Velvety, a hint of peat-smoke and a honey sweetness that sits just beneath the milk chocolate that continues from the nose.

Finish: Long finish with a hint of port and chocolate sweetness, red apples and peat smoke.
