SIA Scotch Whisky is a blend of selected whiskies from Speyside, Highland, Lowlands and Islay regions of Scotland. One of the lead malts used in the blend is Teaninich. Teaninich is a very historic distillery in the Highland region dating back over 200 years. They produce malt whisky of a light highland style: citrus fruit, fresh, accessible.
For maturing the whisky, a combination of refill American oak (Bourbon) and first fill American oak (Bourbon) casks are used. The first fill casks add the vanilla sweetness to the blend and caramel notes. The refill casks gently mature the whisky allowing the distillery flavors to shine through.
SIA awakens the nose with citrus and spice and opens the palate with a hint of smoky vanilla. The finish is long, smooth and refreshing with hints of hazelnut and toffee.
