There is this crippling moment where you begin to feel...“I mean really “feel.” You are excruciatingly aware of every physical sensation in your body and mind. I’ve been accustomed to feeling disconnected mentally and emotionally, even physically for so long... This ability to feel...was so overwhelming! That’s the only way I can describe the moment I came into the realization I was indeed a victim. The moment I realized what I went through wasn’t just “Life” it was trauma! This book of poetry saved me through the shattering realizations of my past. In my most debilitating and depressive moments, I wrote. I wrote about Love. Motherhood. My temptations. My losses.
