• Single malt Japanese whisky produced by Eigashima Shuzo in Akashi, Japan • 100% malted barley lightly peated to 10ppm • Distilled twice in copper pot stills • Aged 7 years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels • Pecans, stewed strawberries, allspice, and charred oak on the nose precede a spicy palate of clove, toasted black pepper, and vanilla bean; honey-drizzled peaches and grilled figs with a touch sea salt on the finish • Limited US release of only 492 bottles • Non-chill filtered; 50% ABV The oldest US release from Eigashima Shuzo’s White Oak Distillery, this lightly peated single malt was aged entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a heavily spiced yet refined whisky.
