Care & maintenance
Borosilicate glass is thermal-shock resistant, but the seal and mechanism need gentle handling.
- Hand wash the lid: The vacuum mechanism and date tracker are not dishwasher-safe. Warm water, mild soap, soft cloth. The glass body is dishwasher-safe.
- Dry fully before sealing: Moisture trapped under vacuum turns into mold. Make sure beans and jar interior are completely dry before you press the vacuum pump.
- Check the seal: The silicone ring wears over time. If the vacuum no longer holds, remove and rinse the seal, or replace it if it has deformed.
- Avoid temperature shock: Borosilicate glass resists thermal shock, but do not move the jar directly from freezer to boiling water. Let it reach room temperature first.

How does the vacuum seal work?
Press down on the center button of the lid. A one-way valve expels air from the jar, creating partial vacuum. To open, press the air-release button on the side of the lid, the seal breaks and the lid lifts easily.
Which size should I pick?
The 17 oz holds about 170 grams of whole beans, one week of daily brewing. The 37 oz holds 370 grams, two to three weeks. The 57 oz holds 600 grams, a full month for most households.
What is the date tracker for?
The rotating dial on the lid lets you mark the date you opened or stored the beans. Coffee peaks two weeks after roasting, then slowly fades. The tracker reminds you when to finish the batch or replace it.
Can I store ground coffee in it?
Yes, but ground coffee loses flavor faster than whole beans, even under vacuum. If you must pre-grind, use the smallest jar and finish within a week.
Can I use it for tea or other dry goods?
Yes. The vacuum seal works for loose-leaf tea, grains, nuts, dried herbs, anything that benefits from moisture and oxygen protection. Just make sure the contents are completely dry before sealing.
