98 Points James Suckling A great wine with vibrant cassis, red cherries, eucalyptus, violets and licorice on the nose. It’s precise and almost reductive, with smooth and elegant tannins on the palate, a silky texture, a full body and a warming yet well-balanced finish. Deep and complex, with a mint and tobacco aftertaste.

96 Points Vinous The 2022 Tenuta di Trinoro is a heady, opulent wine. Inky dark fruit, new leather, incense, licorice, espresso, bittersweet chocolate and cloves all stain the palate. Unctuous and flamboyant to the core, the 2022 is a total stunner. It can be enjoyed young, as the tannins are rather soft, but I would prefer to give it a few years in bottle to allow some of the baby fat to melt away. This is the first vintage since 2015 that includes all four red varieties on the estate: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

94 Points Wine Spectator This is coiled like a steel spring, its blackberry, plum, licorice and earth flavors locked in an embrace of dense, burly tannins. Yet this is long and balanced overall, with lively acidity driving the finish. Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
