IN KEEPING WITH OCHO’S ARTISANAL METHODS AND EXACTING STANDARDS, Barrel Proof Reposado stands apart from the already limited selection of high proof reposados on the market. The agave-forward profile of the tequila takes on new meaning, resting in barrels up to 6 months, three times as long as Ocho’s core Reposado expression. The distillery team blends only a couple dozen barrels at a time, utilizes non-chill filtration, and bottles at cask strength, without dilution.
More intensity, more gusto, yet wonderfully rounded and complex. Intense aromas on the nose. On the palate, a pop of bright agave flavors enveloped in delicious notes of baking spices, dark chocolate, caramel, and white pepper; all in keeping with the sweet, floral and minerality notes Ocho is known for.
