The nose is filled with oak and rich grape character, with a bright twinge of strawberry rhubarb pie. The palate follows with plums, nectarines, and deep brown sugar leading to a slightly savory oaky finish. This bottling captures perfectly the big, mouth filling, dark fruit character of Merlot, and how powerful that can be in a finishing cask. Bottled at 46.65% abv.
