The Tomatin Portuguese Collection Port Cask was distilled on September 8, 2006 and laid down in traditional Scotch Whisky oak casks for over 8 years.
In April 2015, the whisky was moved into Portuguese Tawny Port casks for a further 7 years, resulting in a magnificent single malt.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Black Forest gateau, with warm spices developing into fresh summer fruits.
Palate: The taste is deep with forest fruits, blackberries, raspberries and cherries.
Finish: Sweeter notes of peach and apricot return on the finish.
