The UniPi Axon S205 Universal PLC is focused on a higher number of digital inputs and relay outputs. The unit features a single RS485 serial line. The bus can communicate with up to 32 devices with its total length being up to several hundred meters. Includes a single 1-Wire bus, using 2 or 3 conductors for communication with simple sensors. A single bus can communicate with up to 15 sensors with a maximum total length of the bus up to 100 meters. For network communication, a single 1Gbit Ethernet is provided. 

Thanks to 8 digital inputs and 8 relay outputs, the S205 can offer an I/O number comparable with larger units while retaining its compact dimensions. Digital inputs (DI) are used for reading 5-40V DC voltage pulses generated by various binary devices such as digital lightning switches, motion sensors, digital measuring devices (energy meters, flow meters, pressure meters) etc. Digital inputs of the S205 model also feature an in-built pulse counter.

Relay outputs (RO) are using AC/DC voltage or current for switching two-state devices such as boilers, water heaters, electric motors or larger external relays. Axon line relays are rated for max. 250V DC/30V AC voltage or max. 5A switchable current. 8GB eMMC onboard memory provides a high degree of reliability during repeated rewrites compared to systems using memory cards. All components are protected by a durable anodized aluminum case providing IP20 protection.
