How to Use the Urnex Cafiza for Optimal Results

1. Daily Backflushing (Group Head Cleaning)
Replace the filter basket with a blind filter in your portafilter.
Add approximately 3g ( 2, 1 teaspoon) of Cafiza 2 powder.
Insert the portafilter into the group head.
Activate the brew cycle for 10 seconds, then stop for 10 seconds. Repeat this process 5 times.
Remove the portafilter, run the brew cycle, and rinse the group head thoroughly.
Repeat the 5-cycle process without the powder (with the blind filter) to fully rinse.
Discard the first brewed espresso shot to ensure no residue remains.

2. Soaking Parts
Dissolve 6g (1 teaspoon) of powder per 1L of warm water.
Soak portafilters, filter baskets, and metal parts (do not soak wooden handles or painted parts) for up to 30 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water before reassembling.
