This enterprise grade HDMI extender support dual (local and remote) displays; built with full metal case with industry leading ESD protection for reliable operation. VHD-POE50M extends high definition video and audio signals up to 1080P and 3D up to 50m/164ft over a single Cat5e/6 cable. Features EDID management to support HDMI handshake between HDMI source and the local or remote display for seamless integration. With only one cost effective Cat5e/6 cable, high definition sources with HDMI outputs can be connected to high definition displays with HDMI inputs over long distances. Deep color video, DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD audio are supported and compatible with the extender. In addition, the extender is also equipped with bi-directional IR pass through to support remote operation from source or remote. The extender includes two units: transmitter unit and receiver unit. The transmitter unit is used to capture the HDMI input signals and drives the signals via one cost effective Cat5e/6 cable. The receiver unit is responsible for equalizing and recovering the transmitted HDMI signal.
