This is a true story about my life as a victim of childhood sexual abuse and trauma that crippled my confidence and self-esteem as a young girl. Fear was the enemy keeping me silent and living in a prison within. Courage was my redeemer that sanctioned me to speak up and speak out by revealing my truth that eventually changed the trajectory of my life, my purpose and my platform to help others with similar experiences. I am a true overcomer and advocate for victims of juvenile sexual abuse. Through the power of God’s love and my faith in a higher power allowed me to overcome the adversity I faced as a child with no voice. Today, I tell my truth hoping that any victim of sexual abuse and trauma will also find their way towards the road to victory through the power of God’s everlasting love grounded by His Grace and unspeakable joy. Every victim needs help and healing from childhood sexual abuse. By speaking up and speaking out against my abuser despite the threats of jail, abandonment, and more sexual abuse kept me silent as a child. A life of uncertainty and the lack of love I so desperately needed as a child left me with feelings of hopelessness most of my life. Now I am turning my pain into purpose to help those who have lived with this daily struggle with the hidden scars of their past childhood sexual abuse, molestation or incest by calling out the very existence of this atrocious sexual crime.
