Description: WhistlePig Double Double Rye is expertly aged for 18 years to achieve its rich smoothness. In the days before industrial distillation, America’s early farmers would malt a portion of their grain to initiate fermentation, the crucial step that transforms water and rye into exceptional whiskey. In tribute to these farmers, Double Malt Rye is crafted from a mash bill that combines Rye and Malted Barley. This blend creates a remarkable Rye Whiskey that spans a wide flavor spectrum. The 91% Rye imparts bold, peppery spice, while the 9% Malted Barley contributes a gentle, floral, and earthy essence.

To enhance the diverse palate of WhistlePig Double Double Rye, this year’s edition features a distinctive double barrel aging process in American Oak and Pedro Ximenez (PX) Sherry Casks, introducing new layers of complexity from each barrel. The result is a masterful whiskey, rich with warm, sweet notes and an enduring finish.

Each annual release of our 18 Year edition is topped with a custom glass stopper, handcrafted in Vermont.
