This is a bit of a celebration of the decade and a half that Wolfburn has been in operation. While listed as a ten year old on the label, we have it from a good source that this is composed of 12 year old whisky that was aged in Oloroso sherry barrels. The nose opens with softer caramel, some dried red and stone fruits, and a light sea spray note. On the palate the caramel from the oloroso barrels comes through with dried mixed fruits and a light earth / saline note to end.
