Daou's 2021 Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the high-elevation Adelaida District of Paso Robles, where the mountain terroir consistently produces some of California's most celebrated Cabernet expressions. Deep garnet in the glass, the nose presents alluring aromas of red currant, cherry preserve, plum, fresh tobacco leaf, and star anise with undercurrents of lavender, sagebrush, and mineral. The palate is extravagantly layered with cherry, blueberry, baking spice, smoked meat, and salted dark chocolate, supported by an impeccable mouthfeel of balanced tannins, fine acidity, and perfectly integrated oak leading to an enduring and triumphant finish.
