In 2013, the Texas Legislature passed a law permitting Texas distilleries to begin selling their products to guests visiting the distillery property. Victory never tasted so sweet. To celebrate, Garrison Brothers introduced their now-iconic Single Barrel Bourbon.
Nose: The nose has notes of corn, dough, and fresh, light fruits such as apple and pear; however, these fruit notes are not yet fully mature. Floral notes are also present, with the most prevalent note on the nose being the dough.
Palate: The palate is pleasant with notes of caramel, leather, apple, and pear, but once again the dough and yeast flavours shine through. At first this isn’t an overly complex bourbon, but many of the flavours develop in the glass.
Finish: Short, with notes of leather, cherry, dough, and yeast, with a developing allspice note on the back palate.
