Glasgow 1770 White Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky 53.3%

This limited-edition release from The Glasgow Distillery’s Small Batch Series showcases a bright and fruit-forward style of triple distilled single malt. Aged for six years, it was initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before a 19-month finish in French oak White Port hogsheads, resulting in a vibrant and expressive character. The nose opens with zesty lemon and lime, crisp green apple and hints of pineapple and peach, layered with gentle honeyed sweetness. On the palate, floral notes of honeysuckle combine with vanilla, runny honey and honeydew melon, delivering both freshness and depth. A long, balanced finish follows, with creamy patisserie notes, soft peach and lingering citrus zest. Bottled at 53.3% ABV, with only 730 bottles released, this 70cl expression offers a modern and lively take on Scotch single malt whisky.
