PM Dawn: The Natural

Since the early days on Congress Street, we've been inspired, supported, and joyously caffeinated by our close friends at Barrington Coffee. Founded in the early '90s by the passionately driven duo Gregg Charboneau & Barth Anderson, the Barrington team has established an award-winning roastery based in the magnificent Berkshires of Western, MA.

As a testament to the precision & dedication of coffee farmers across the globe who cultivate expressive beans reflective of local climate, terroir, and practice we introduce PM Dawn: Single Origin Series. // In the first edition, our signature American coffee stout features The Natural, produced by father and son Aklilu and Biniam Aklilu Kassa from Oromia, Ethiopia.

“The Natural” refers to the open-air manner in which the coffee cherry is placed out in the sun to dry on elevated tables. PM Dawn: Single Origin provides the royalty base canvas to highlight this coffee's expressive flavors of dried blueberry, banana, ripe blackberry, baking spices, and Dutch cocoa.

Aromas of rich mocha with a nutty earthiness greet the nose as flavors of espresso, caramel, and chocolate-covered berries follow onto the palate. With medium body and light bitterness, PM Dawn: Single Origin "The Natural" is balanced and full, smooth with a drying roast character.
