This time around the 8-cup thermal carafe has been been lined with stainless steel instead of glass. The double walled design of the carafe helps to maintain the temperature of your coffee for a longer duration while the steel lining is now shatterproof. The flat bottomed filter basket and large showerhead ensure even wetting of your grounds to ensure proper extraction. The showerhead, filter basket, and carafe lid are all dishwasher safe and all plastic is BPA-free.

With regards to brewing, the optimal brewing range of 195°-205°F is observed thanks to the powerful 1400 watt heater. This precise range is in accordance with SCAA standards and secured a place for the brewer as a part of their Certified Home Brewer Program. Making coffee is as simple as filling the reservoir, putting coffee in the basket and pressing the brew button. For ease of measurement, the reservoir has been labeled with 4, 6, and 8 cup increments.
